Andjani Autumn Gatzweiler is a German-Indonesian director, editor, and visual artist based in Berlin.
Her practice spans fiction, music video, documentary, and visual art, informed by her background as an illustrator and her love for Studio Ghibli movies. Fascinated by the handcrafted arts, Andjani’s work explores the combination of live-action with animation and installation-based approaches, to build tactile and painterly worlds.
Recent work includes commissioned album photography and illustration for Nina Hagen, as well as the direction of two music-centred documentary projects currently in production. An ongoing body of work titled Cyber Melancholia explores life in digital culture, focusing on how younger generations experience emotional connection, isolation, and self discovery in online spaces.
